Rendezvous with the Festa della Liberazione a Sassari

Thursday, April 24th at 8.30 pm near the Civic Theatre of Sassari, there will be the "Voliamo Alto" (Let's Fly High) meeting, held to celebrate the liberation from Nazi-Fascism. If you are on holiday in Sardinia do not miss this appointment. The initiative includes award ceremony for the poetry competition "Scrivi un epigramma". Luciano Cicu, teacher of Latin language and literature at the University of the town, and the poet and journalist Fausto Nicolini will be present.

The event is promoted by the "Assessorato alla Cultura", in remembrance of the Liberation. The event aims not only to live the historical moment as a memory but as a constant practice towards a realistic formation of the individual. It’s a space for discussion, reflection and fruitful elaboration so that participants may gain awareness and genuine understanding. Organizers of the event are: "Azuni" secondary school, "Istituto Alberghiero", "La Corte dei Miracoli" company and the international library "Koinè", thanks to the support of "Banco Intesa San Paolo" and "Enoteca Dolcidea".
